Salir por la puerta ancha."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Por: Roger Rivero<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El Venza no es uno de los modelos m\u00e1s populares de Toyota. Su historia ha sido accidentada, y el porvenir trae una etiqueta donde leemos: \u201cdescontinuar\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Podr\u00eda parecer parad\u00f3jico que recomiende al Veza 2024, pues ser\u00e1 descontinuado pr\u00f3ximamente, para dar cabida al Crown Signia. Cierto es que tengo varios argumentos a su favor, y quiz\u00e1 para muchos sea una opci\u00f3n tentadora hacerse con este modelo de Toyota.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los modelos que dejan de producirse pueden representar grandes oportunidades para compradores celosos de su presupuesto, pues los fabricantes siempre hacen considerables rebajas de precio.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Algunos quiz\u00e1 crean que piezas y partes de recambio faltar\u00e1n en el futuro, pero no debe ser el caso de este Venza, pues comparte tantos componentes con otros modelos de Toyota como el RAV4, que no creo le escasear\u00e1n las piezas de repuesto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>M\u00e1s all\u00e1 del uso de la misma plataforma TNGA-K, hay muchas similitudes entre el Venza y su sustituto Crown Signia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-image-25892\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 hay de nuevo?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La versi\u00f3n 2024 no trae ning\u00fan cambio significativo como era de esperar, y concluye la segunda generaci\u00f3n del Venza, que fue introducida en el 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u00bfC\u00f3mo se ve desde afuera?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La pasada generaci\u00f3n ten\u00eda una apariencia semejante a la de una ranchera o vag\u00f3n, un estilo de autom\u00f3vil que no goza de mucha simpat\u00eda en Estados Unidos. El Venza que despedimos hab\u00eda dejado atr\u00e1s esa imagen, cambiada por un estilo moderno y agresivo que toma rastros de Lexus y otras marcas de lujo, adaptadas al estilo tradicional de los crossovers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u00bfY por dentro?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En la cabina encontramos materiales de alta calidad y un dise\u00f1o atractivo, creando un interior que estar\u00eda perfectamente asociado al de un veh\u00edculo de lujo. En nuestro Venza Limited de prueba nos impresion\u00f3 el uso de madera de grado fino y acabados de aluminio cepillado. Sin embargo, el Toyota Venza es uno de los crossovers medianos m\u00e1s peque\u00f1os en la clase, y la mayor\u00eda de sus rivales ofrecen m\u00e1s espacio interior.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tecnolog\u00eda y seguridad<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El Venza viene con una lista muy generosa de ayudas al conductor y sistemas de seguridad, quiz\u00e1 entre las mejores de la industria, agrupadas en la suite Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+. Incluye el frenado de emergencia autom\u00e1tico con detecci\u00f3n de peatones, la advertencia de salida del carril con asistencia para mantener el carril, detecci\u00f3n de se\u00f1ales de tr\u00e1fico, alerta de tr\u00e1fico cruzando en la parte posterior y el control de crucero adaptativo entre otras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La pantalla t\u00e1ctil de infoentretenimiento es de 8 pulgadas para los modelos de entrada y viene con Apple CarPlay y Android Auto en todos. Es una pantalla peque\u00f1a para los est\u00e1ndares actuales, pero a partir del acabado XLE, el tama\u00f1o de la pantalla aumenta a 12,3 pulgadas, con controles capacitivos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El sistema es moderno e intuitivo, con gr\u00e1ficos claros y dise\u00f1o de men\u00fa f\u00e1cilmente navegables, y de respuestas r\u00e1pidas.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u00bfC\u00f3mo se conduce? &nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El Toyota Venza del 2024 solo viene disponible con un sistema de propulsi\u00f3n h\u00edbrido con tracci\u00f3n total o AWD, que combina un motor de cuatro cilindros de 2.5 litros con dos motores el\u00e9ctricos, para lograr de forma combinada entregar 219 caballos de potencia. La \u00fanica transmisi\u00f3n disponible es una continua variable o CVT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Puede llegar a ser r\u00e1pido, cubriendo la distancia de 60 millas o 100 kil\u00f3metros en 7.5 segundos, tiempo comparable o superior al de algunos de sus competidores con motores turboalimentados. La entrega de poder tambi\u00e9n puede ser suave y potente si se necesita, pero es su eficiencia, quiz\u00e1 el aspecto m\u00e1s destacable del modelo. Consume un gal\u00f3n de gas regular cada 40 millas en la autopista o 37 millas en la ciudad, lo que equivaldr\u00eda a 5.88 o 6.36 litros cada 100 kil\u00f3metros.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El sistema h\u00edbrido del Venza es una excelente muestra del refinamiento que Toyota ha logrado en tantos a\u00f1os de experiencia con estos mecanismos. La transferencia de poder entre el motor de gas y el el\u00e9ctrico es imperceptible, mientras que su sistema AWD est\u00e1ndar lo convierte en una buena opci\u00f3n para los conductores que vivan en lugares con clima riguroso, pero no lo recomendamos para alejarse mucho de la carretera en caminos enlodados, pues su altura del suelo es escasa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El paseo es suave y silencioso, estando la suspensi\u00f3n afinada para la comodidad al estilo Lexus, y aunque su aspecto deportivo insinu\u00e9 otra cosa, no es muy atractivo de conducir en carreteras secundarias sinuosas<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u00bfSi quiero uno, por cu\u00e1l me decido?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El 2024 Toyota Venza viene en cuatro niveles de acabado: LE, XLE, Nightshade Edition y Limited. Todos traen el mismo tren motriz h\u00edbrido. El nivel de entrada LE comienza en los $34,920 y como el resto trae la suite de seguridad incluida. Le siguen el XLE por $39,130, el Venza Nightshade Edition, que agrega llantas negras y detalles exteriores deportivos en negro, y cierra el Limited en los $43,065.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La edici\u00f3n Limited es la m\u00e1s popular de todos, aunque nos inclinaremos a recomendar al XLE por la relaci\u00f3n precio-prestaciones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u00bfContra qui\u00e9n compite?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Es dif\u00edcil encontrar un rival directo al Venza, por ser un SUV mediano ofrecido solamente como h\u00edbrido. El Hyundai Santa Fe, Honda CR-V o el Kia Sorento, todos h\u00edbridos, podr\u00edan ser considerados competidores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Concluyendo<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A pesar de estar llegando a la puerta de salida, reitero que considerar un Toyota Venza puede ser una buena decisi\u00f3n. A pesar de no ser muy espacioso, su estilo, lujo, tecnolog\u00eda y eficiencia pueden mostrarse atractivos, sobre todo si en los pr\u00f3ximos meses, Toyota decide hacer cortes a su etiqueta de precio, lo que muy posiblemente ocurrir\u00e1.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Roger Rivero es un periodista independiente, miembro de NAHJ, la Asociaci\u00f3n nacional de periodistas Hispanos y de NWAPA, la Asociaci\u00f3n de periodistas automovil\u00edsticos del noroeste.
