Honda, que no es un fabricante peque\u00f1o (21.1 millones de veh\u00edculos fabricados en el 2022) cuenta con el CR-V, un SUV crossover mediano campe\u00f3n de ventas de la marca nipona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Honda estrena este a\u00f1o la sexta generaci\u00f3n del CR-V, el modelo que probamos esta semana y del cual vendieron, s\u00f3lo en Estados Unidos, m\u00e1s de 238&nbsp;000 unidades en el 2022. Aunque las apuestas se intensifican en torno a la electrificaci\u00f3n, modelos h\u00edbridos como el CR-V acaparan la atenci\u00f3n de quienes quieren alargar los viajes a la gasolinera o muestran conciencia ecol\u00f3gica y no est\u00e1n listos para un auto el\u00e9ctrico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El 2023 CR-V podr\u00eda ser una opci\u00f3n para ellos, aunque sus n\u00fameros de consumo a\u00fan no son l\u00edderes de su clase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure \/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 hay de nuevo?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El Honda CR-V 2023 llega con un aspecto totalmente nuevo por dentro y por fuera. La renovaci\u00f3n es casi obligatoria, para luchar en el segmento m\u00e1s competitivo de la industria, el de los SUV compactos. Con proporciones m\u00e1s generosas, m\u00e1s espacio para los pasajeros y tecnolog\u00eda renovada, no hay dudas de que este seguir\u00e1 siendo el modelo m\u00e1s vendido de Honda, al menos en Am\u00e9rica del Norte, donde la sed por los SUV crossovers no parece tener t\u00e9rmino.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u00bfC\u00f3mo se ve desde afuera?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No es un auto de mala figura, aunque Honda parece no tener intenciones de resaltar el incremento de su volumen. Es ahora m\u00e1s largo y ancho, y puede que a la distancia se confunda por un Honda Pilot.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Honda ha dado un viraje bastante profundo en sus concepciones de dise\u00f1o, que alg\u00fan tiempo destacaban por ser audaces, tanto as\u00ed que algunos llegaban a ser chocantes. Ahora apuestan por estilos conservadores, nada arriesgados y en consecuencia un poco aburridos, pero han logrado insuflar una apariencia m\u00e1s robusta a este CR-V, acerc\u00e1ndose ahora m\u00e1s a la apariencia cl\u00e1sica de un SUV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u00bfY por dentro?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La calidad de los interiores en el segmento de los SUV ha mejorado notoriamente en tiempos recientes. Si bien hay claros avances en el 2023 CR-V, creo Honda pod\u00eda haber aprovechado la oportunidad de presentar la nueva generaci\u00f3n con un interior m\u00e1s radiante. Los materiales son de buena calidad y el dise\u00f1o tiene componentes llamativos, como las rejillas de ventilaci\u00f3n que corre de un extremo al otro, pero mirado en su conjunto, parece ser m\u00e1s b\u00e1sico que algunos competidores, incluyendo su mayor contrincante, el Toyota RAV4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Quiz\u00e1 la falta de color sea el principal culpable de que esta cabina, a pesar de estar bien ejecutada, parezca mon\u00f3tona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Encontramos excelente uso del almacenamiento de objetos peque\u00f1os y grandes. Independientemente del asiento que ocupe en el CR-V h\u00edbrido, probablemente estar\u00e1 muy c\u00f3modo. Los asientos de la primera fila son amplios y c\u00f3modos, y la segunda fila tiene espacio suficiente para adultos. Los asientos traseros tambi\u00e9n se reclinan para mayor comodidad en viajes largos por carretera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tecnolog\u00eda y seguridad<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los tres acabados inferiores traen una pantalla de 7 pulgadas para el info entretenimiento, algo peque\u00f1a para los est\u00e1ndares actuales. Los dos superiores, EX-L y Sport Touring tienen una pantalla t\u00e1ctil m\u00e1s grande de 9 pulgadas o 23 cent\u00edmetros. Con la mayor pantalla incorporan mejoras como un audio Bose de 12 bocinas, radio digital, carga inal\u00e1mbrica de tel\u00e9fonos, navegaci\u00f3n y acceso a Amazon Alexa. Android Auto y Apple CarPlay inal\u00e1mbricos vienen en todos los acabados.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hay evidente mejor\u00eda sobre el sistema del pasado a\u00f1o, con una interfaz m\u00e1s clara y l\u00f3gica. Aparecen botones f\u00edsicos para el control del clima y el radio trae control de volumen, algo que por alg\u00fan tiempo Honda decidi\u00f3 dejar fuera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En materia de seguridad viene muy bien pertrechado. La mayor\u00eda de las prestaciones de seguridad vienen incluidas en el 2023 CR-V h\u00edbrido, y solo dejan para a\u00f1adir los sensores de estacionamiento delanteros y el parabrisas sensible a la lluvia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u00bfC\u00f3mo se conduce?&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Conducci\u00f3n tranquila, sin sobresaltos y silenciosa. Estos han sido rasgos habituales en el Honda CR-V, que no desaparecen en el 2023, aunque bajo presi\u00f3n o cuando cambiamos al modo de conducci\u00f3n Sport, el motor de cuatro cilindros y 2.0 litros puede zumbar enfadado.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Con 204 caballos disponibles hay suficiente potencia para maniobrar con premura dentro de la ciudad, y en la autopista adelantar a otros veh\u00edculos sin mucha ansiedad. El torque que proporcionan los dos motores el\u00e9ctricos (en realidad uno solo, pues el otro motor es utilizado como generador) garantiza un despegue veloz, mientras que la transmisi\u00f3n continua o CVT es bastante satisfactoria, combinando los dos sistemas de propulsi\u00f3n sin drama alguno.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Honda afirma que el nuevo CR-V es ahora m\u00e1s r\u00edgido, lo que unido a mejoras en la suspensi\u00f3n, se transforma en una conducci\u00f3n bastante compuesta. Han agregado dos nuevos modos de conducci\u00f3n, Snow (nieve) y Sport (deportivo). Encontramos tambi\u00e9n en la palanca de cambios una opci\u00f3n nombrada \u201cB\u201d, que proporciona una mayor regeneraci\u00f3n en el frenado, sin llegar a ser el cl\u00e1sico manejo de un solo pedal de los autos el\u00e9ctricos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La econom\u00eda de combustible del 2023 Honda CR-V h\u00edbrido no es l\u00edder en su clase, pero tampoco queda rezagado. Los modelos con tracci\u00f3n delantera logran 43 millas por gal\u00f3n en la ciudad y 36 en la autopista, unos 5.47 o 6.53 litros cada 100 kil\u00f3metros respectivamente. Dotados con tracci\u00f3n en todas las ruedas o AWD, estos n\u00fameros de consumo disminuyen algo.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u00bfSi quiero uno, por cu\u00e1l me decido?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Honda ha redise\u00f1ado la gama CR-V para 2023, dividi\u00e9ndola en cinco niveles de acabado. Los modelos LX, EX y EX-L son solo de gasolina, mientras que el Sport y Sport Touring vienen exclusivamente con el tren motriz h\u00edbrido.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El Sport h\u00edbrido comienza en los $32,950, y se le pueden agregar comodidades como los sensores de estacionamiento delantero, el cargador inal\u00e1mbrico de tel\u00e9fonos o calefacci\u00f3n en el volante por precio adicional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El Sport Touring sube a $39,100, pero viene completamente equipado. La \u00fanica opci\u00f3n que se le puede agregar es el espejo retrovisor con atenuaci\u00f3n autom\u00e1tica y remoto universal para abrir la cochera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u00bfContra qui\u00e9n compite?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La mayor\u00eda de los fabricantes cuentan con modelos de SUV h\u00edbridos, y la lista podr\u00eda ser amplia. Resaltamos al \u201ceterno\u201d competidor, el Toyota RAV-4 h\u00edbrido, o los tambi\u00e9n h\u00edbridos Ford Escape, Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tucson o Subaru Crosstrek,&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Concluyendo<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>M\u00e1s espacio interior, mejor tecnolog\u00eda y una opci\u00f3n de tracci\u00f3n delantera m\u00e1s eficiente son algunas de las adiciones para el 2023 a la l\u00ednea CR-V h\u00edbrido. Las mejoras quiz\u00e1 no sean tantas como esper\u00e1bamos en una nueva generaci\u00f3n, pero s\u00ed lo suficiente como para mantenerlo en el radar de atenci\u00f3n de nuevos compradores. Quiz\u00e1 la mayor ausencia aqu\u00ed sea la de una versi\u00f3n h\u00edbrida enchufable o PHEV, algo que pienso se agregara a la alineaci\u00f3n del Honda CR-V m\u00e1s temprano que tarde, pues este verano el fabricante la present\u00f3 al mercado europeo.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Roger Rivero es un periodista independiente, miembro de NAHJ, la Asociaci\u00f3n nacional de periodistas Hispanos y de NWAPA, la Asociaci\u00f3n de periodistas automovil\u00edsticos del noroeste.
