Simon Loasby, influential designer and head of the Hyundai Style Group at Hyundai Motor Company, walked viewers through the design upgrades. Jos\u00e9 Mu\u00f1oz, president and Global COO of Hyundai Motor Company and president and CEO of Hyundai Motor North America, discussed why consumers are showing renewed interest in sedans. Hyundai has a strong history of regularly updating its Sonata lineup and exceeding customer expectations. The new 2024 Sonata goes on sale this winter.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWith a total of nearly three million sedans sold in the U.S. in the past twelve months, those new buyers and owners seeking to stay in the sedan segment will find that Hyundai is there with beautifully updated Sonata models,\u201d said Mu\u00f1oz. \u201cSonata will now be available in All-Wheel-Drive, attracting even more sedan buyers to Sonata.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hyundai\u2019s proven Hyundai TRACtion (HTRAC) AWD system is now available on Sonata for the first time. HTRAC is mated to the 2.5L engine to provide all-weather capabilities and enhanced driving performance by actively distributing torque between the front and rear wheels, depending on road conditions and driving situations. Sonata will once again be available as a standard internal combustion engine (ICE) model, sporty N Line variant, or hybrid electric (HEV) version, with a range of engine options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe wanted to give Sonata a more contemporary design statement,\u201d said Loasby. \u201cIt is super wide, fresh, modern, and very cool. system is front-wheel drive based, which is a first for a Hyundai sedan in the U.S.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>HTRAC uses an electro-hydraulic system to control AWD coupling for a quicker response and more
